You always

speak -

I so rarely

listen.

I am

too busy

too loud

too distracted

too self-absorbed

to know Your voice

and follow.

Yet

I blame You

when things seem unclear,

when I feel uneasy;

I curse You

when things are restless,

when life feels overwhelming.

I want You

to serve me

to suit me -

to leave me alone

but never let me feel alone.
