Unchanged

Psalm 102:25-27 — Of old you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you will remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will change them like a robe, and they will pass away, but you are the same, and your years have no end.

The sun rose

the sun set.

The rains came

the rains went.

People woke

now people rest.

Emotions flooded

emotions subsided.

You are the only

unchanged.

This day was Yours

from the moment

I woke.

Tomorrow will be Yours

Lord willing

I wake.

You do not change,

You do not forget;

You do not sleep

nor slumber.

You are the reminder

that though today may feel

impossible

overwhelming

unnerving

unknown,

it is exactly

as You designed it.

Amen.
